The animal has a long thin tongue wrapped over the next, with fantastic details such as curled claws, open carved eyes ad a smooth, softly curved back. Cocobolo is a tropical hardwood from Central America. Only the heartwood is used: this is typically orange or reddish-brown in color, often with darker irregular traces weaving through the wood. The sapwood (not often used) is a creamy yellow.
