Bats in flight around the saides of this ecru colored piece. Each bat has tiny little stitches to create fangs and claws, and each of the wings has a slightly darker contrasting detail. These open-winged little creatures fly around the beautifully shaped piece in bands. The background color, though it looks like a more ‘natural’ color, is actually dyed an additional step for this ecru. A small step this weaver took to create an overall earthy look.
It sits around 12″ x 12″, and took the weaver, Eblina Cabezon, a little over a year to create. This piece has been received and added to a private collection.
