Richly colored blue and gray marlin swim upwards through bumpy coral. The marlin display long pointy noses, tall dorsal fins, two long slender pelvic fins, and even tiny gills outlined in black. They swim in-between blue, gray and ochre coral outlined in a thin black stitch. This is an extremely well-stitched piece in a rare sea-life motif. The weaver, Carmen Tovar excels in very large feather designs, and here shows her mastery in a pictorial motif. We love this beautiful rounded shape.
Size & Technique: 12″ W x 11″ H, silk-stitch technique creating a soft, silky feel to the finished piece. 26 months in construction.
